As a company, we have been focused exclusively on university related developments since our founding in 1990 and our principals have more than 60 years of combined experience focused on aligning objectives and providing an uncommonly high level of service to each of our university partners and projects.
Capstone Development Corp. opened in 1990 and soon became known as one of the most innovative developers of student-oriented facilities across the nation. Capstone began by developing and managing large student apartment communities near major colleges and universities (13,000 beds in 19 communities). As a result of our success, numerous universities approached Capstone for assistance with their on-campus housing development and management needs. In 1994, we formed an on-campus division, and since that time we have partnered with over sixty colleges or universities structuring nearly $3 Billion in development financings ranging from conventional debt and equity to tax exempt financings with many varieties and nuances of each method to fit a particular transaction and situation.
